Scoring four goals on my debut for the IOW, scoring a belter of a goal into the top corner from almost the by-line against Southampton, scoring the winning goal against Southampton Uni that secured the 2nd XI promotion in 2008.
WORST HOCKEY INJURY:
Being cut and almost knocked out at Southampton Uni by a ball that hit me, missing my eye by less than half a centimetre and ending up spending several hours in A & E. I was told by the doctor had the ball been half a centimetre lower I could’ve lost my eye.

I once served the Queen a gin and tonic when I worked at the Chelsea Flower Show. I also, when working for IW Radio, interviewed Trevor Brooking in 2001 and 'out-predicted' him by confidently predicting England would go behind against Germany but come back to win (the famous 5 - 1) Trevor said it would be a draw - what does he know.

When I started at the age of 14 at my Public School in Seaford in 2000

Getting 5 goals in one match while playing for Newhaven against Chicester Centurions where we ended up winning 5-4, a real match winning performance.
Also scoring a wonder goal against fareham in the 08/09 season to equal the scores at 2-2, still not quite sure how I managed to find the top corner with a sweep shot.
WORST HOCKEY INJURY:
In 2006 I was playing at smallbrook when I was smash (literally) in the face (eye socket) with the ball, even though I was happy to continue I soon realised that my front was covered in blood and my eye lid had been split open! After a 5 Hour trip to A&E I then had to have regular check ups at the hospital over following 2 years while doctors checked my eyesight was ok, during this period I was also unable to play hockey.

After a long gap off not playing hockey, I returned to the Island and played for the 3rds and 2nds in 2007/08. This year I am playing in the seconds.
This season I have taken on the Youth and Colts Manger role. As well as dealing with the Colts I am hoping the develop the youth side of the club, including organising the Half Term Hockey Camp in October.
